Overriding Document Training Type Default Based on Job Assignment

If the training type for the document is determined by the job to which it is assigned, you can override the training type default.

To override the training type default:

  1. On the Document Detail – Job page click the Job Training Type Overrides tab
  2. On the Job List page, click the Job Training Type Overrides tab.
  3. Select the Training Type for only the jobs that do not use the Default Training Type assigned on the General tab of the document.
  4. If the training type is Other Trainer, select the Default Trainer.

If the trainer is not selected at this time, they can be assigned from the Notify Training page.

  1. Click the Save button to save your changes.

If a user belongs to multiple jobs in which the same document has different training types, you must set up the training type priority by doing the following:

  1. Select Training Type List on the Tools & Setup panel.
  2. Click the Sign-Off Type Priorities button.
  3. Using the arrows, move the Training Types up or down. The highest priority should be listed first.

The Training Type override function applies to the following functions:

  • Notify For Training page after releasing document during Move to Current
  • Send Training Notices, on the Document Detail Training tab
  • Training Notification, on the Main Menu side panel or the My TMS page

The Training Type override function does not apply to the following functions:

  • Cycle Notification Reports
  • Deviation Reports
  • Automatic Programs that create training
