Closing a Packet

There are three ways to close a packet.

  • Manually by selecting the close box.
  • Automatically after a designated signature.
  • Automatically via the workflow.

To close a packet manually: Search for the particular packet you would like to close and select the close box. You must have Read/Write permission to the packet location to close the packet.

After closing the packet, the system displays the date, time, and individual who closed the packet.

To close a packet automatically after signature on a manual eForm:

  1. During form design, select the field type of Signature .
  2. Select the Auto-Close Packet When Completed option.
  3. After an individual signs the form, the packet will automatically close.

To close a packet automatically via the workflow:

  1. During workflow design, select the command name of Packet Command located in the Step Name/Command column.
  2. Select the command name of Close Packet in the Step Detail column.
