File Attachments
This field type allows the user to attach separate electronic files to the form (for example, a picture or a letter to use as supporting information).
By default, one attachment is allowed. You can allow multiple attachments by selecting the Multiple Values checkbox on the New (or Edit) Form Field page.
Clicking the Choose File button allows the user to select a file using the standard Windows file browser dialog box. After clicking the Save button, the attached file is uploaded onto the protected server and the field displays the file name. Once uploaded, the default name assigned to the file can be changed (by clicking the Edit button on the form page) to allow for a more descriptive title. If multiple attachments are enabled, another attachment field displays after clicking the Save button.
Once the file is uploaded and the form is saved, the attachments display on the form with a link, which allows for opening the attachment. You are also able to edit the description of the attachment after saving.
To delete the attachment, simply click the Re-Upload link in edit mode and the file will be deleted from the TMS system. The system will prompt you with the message “Are you sure you want to re-upload the attachment file?”. Click OK to re-upload the file or click Cancel if the link was accidentally clicked. If necessary, you can use the Choose File button to upload a different attachment.
To preview the document uploaded with the form, click the Preview icon.
