eForms
Organizations must use every tool at their disposal to create and maintain organizational effectiveness to remain competitive. The eForms module allows you to develop database forms so that you can achieve a less paper-intensive environment. In addition, the eForms module allows you to create activities that integrate into the standard TMS activity table. Once activities are created, automatic notifications and reminders keep information moving quickly and efficiently throughout the organization.
After installing the eForms module, you must assign permissions so that its link will be available to the user. The setting for permissions to the eForms module is located in the Location Permission tab of the Permission Group Details page. (Refer to Permission Groups for instructions on setting up permissions.) After changing the permission setting, you must log off/on for the permission to load or press the F5 key to reload the application.
TMS manages the workflow of a form (packet), which can be manual or automatic. To use the manual approach, you assign activities to the different forms (pages) and select the flow using the Send Notification tab. To use the automatic approach, after you design a form, you define a workflow and attach it to the form. This will route the form through a logical sequence. Based on the complexity of your processes, you might have forms that are too difficult to route automatically and would be better left as a manual workflow.
