Relationship Grid Searches

The system builds relationships between tables using relationship grids. These grids allow you to do multiple selections when using the Search Items button located between the two boxes.

The procedure below is for the scenario in which a user would like to select a particular document type, then narrow down and select only documents with a key word in the title.

  1. Select Document Type from the drop-down list and enter the value (wildcards are allowed).
  2. Click the Do Search button.

The documents that match are listed.

  1. Click Filter Search.

The criteria page is displayed again.

  1. Select Title from the drop-down list and enter the value (wildcards are allowed).
  2. Click the Do Search button.

The documents that match both criteria are listed.

  1. If necessary, continue with additional selection criteria.
NOTE: Clicking OK clears the search, so you have to start again from step 1. The same capability is available for users, jobs, and other tables where relationships grids are provided.

When searching for documents within the relationship grids, the following options are available:

  • Document ID
  • Title
  • Description/Purpose
  • Workflow Status
  • Job
  • Location
  • Department
  • Distribution
  • Review Group
  • Current Revision Level
  • Document Type
  • Miscellaneous
  • In Revision
  • From (and including) Initial Issue Date
  • To (and including) Initial Issue Date
  • From (and including) Revision Effective Date
  • To (and including) Revision Effective Date
  • Next Review Date (on or before)
  • Content
  • Search All Free Form Fields
