Move to Current and Publish (PDF Format)

When you select the Step 4: Move To Current And Publish checkbox option in the Administrator tab of the Document page, the following events occur:

  • The prior version of both the native and PDF formats of the document are archived into the history directory (TMSWeb_Web\WebRoot\Documents\History).
  • The revision number is appended to the end of the document’s unique identifier.
  • The native and PDF versions of the document are moved from the Revision directory to the Published directory.
  • A copy of the native version of the document is placed in the Current directory.
  • If you are using a watermark on the PDF document, you can print a copy of the native document from the Administrator tab by clicking the View Native Document link. This link is available only if you are converting a document to PDF. For information on adding watermarks to PDF documents, refer to the TMS technical notes.
NOTE: Regarding watermarks in PPT and PPTX documents: If the document has a background, the watermark might not display. Watermarks are written to a layer under the document and if the document has a background color applied (which most PPT documents do), the watermark cannot be seen.
  • If the Application Option called CREATE_TRAINING_FOR SIGNERS is set to YES, the system will create a training activity for the approvers of the document.
