Summary of What Happens During Move to Current

During a move to current, the following functions occur:

  • Archives prior versions of the documents into the history folder on the application server. If using PDF, the system archives the original document and PDF version of the document. They are moved to a history folder on the protected web server.
  • Creates training activities based on prior training or job assignment.
  • Updates the History detail tab of affected documents with a link to the Change Order packet information.
  • Updates the required Training detail tab for each individual document and the Training detail tab on the Change Order packet.
  • Updates the revision effective date. Individuals will be able to train on the new revision but the document list page will point to the prior version until the effective date of the document has been reached.
  • Moves the new version of the document into the published folder and current folders.
