Launching a Change Order from a Form Packet Procedure

To launch a change order from a form packet:

  1. Create the Form Packet with the following required fields that are needed to create a Change Order.
    • Change Order # (this could be the Packet ID)
    • Change Order Title Source (Packet Description)
    • Initiator Type
    • Administrator
    • Pre-Review Group
    • Formal Review Group
    • Placeholder for the Change Order document number
  1. Add a step in the Packet Workflow, selecting the Command (Create Change Order).

Reference the required fields defined in step 1 above.

  1. Create an Activity Type called CHANGE_ORDER_EDIT.
    • Message Text: Edit Change Order
    • System/Custom: Custom
    • Category: Document
  2. Add a Notify CO Administrator step in the packet workflow.
  3. Add a View Change Order Detail step in the workflow.
    • Command: Display Special Page
    • Page Name: Page_ChangeOrder_Detail
    • Parameter #1 Name: Detail_ObjectID
    • Parameter #1 Value: @FormFieldValue:Form_xxxx:Item_xxx. The x’s are replaced with the Form number and field number where the Change Order placeholder document number is defined in step 1.
